Size 7

The center stone is a natural, unheated Australian Sapphire in a Sugarloaf cut. The three other sapphires are natural sapphires with no determined origin.

Hōsekitsugi™️ is Denton Sato’s reinterpretation of the ancient Japanese art of kintsugi into the jewelry medium. Kintsugi is the ancient art of repairing broken ceramics utilizing gold (kin), resulting in a piece that is more valuable than the original. Denton Sato developed the idea of hōsekitsugi while learning wax carving. When carving the wax, if the wax model is broken, Denton repairs the model utilizing a sapphire to highlight the imperfection and create a piece that is more valuable than the original.
